Functional Capacity Evaluation

We provide full-body Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) testing. Our tests are performed by a licensed physical therapist with over 25 years of testing experience.

The purpose of FCE testing is to objectively document a level of disability for workers' compensation and social security disability cases. Reports include a detailed history of the injury and a subjective interview, and are completed within 48 hours of testing. A brief physical examination is performed when appropriate and includes range of motion testing. Tests can be tailored to a specific job description as necessary.

The high reliability and validity of our test results comes from research-based hardware and software systems. Our results are highly defendable and therefore require less testimony.

When testing is performed at the very end of a workers' compensation case, the results can be applied to a subsequent social security disability case.

Because of our tester's extensive experience in physical therapy, they can inform the attorney of any associated pain or dysfunction in body parts not covered by the original claim but caused by the initial injury.

Our services can also be used to challenge the results of a Functional Capacity Evaluation ordered by the employer or the insurance company.
